Hello Panther Family!

I am so excited and honored to begin my fifth year as the Principal here at Creekside Middle School. Every year I look forward to the first day of school.  My husband, who is a teacher, and I always take first day pictures.  And this year was no different!  I am very excited to see what this school year brings for all of us.  I am impressed by the time and dedication that teachers have put into restructuring their lessons, designing new activities, and creating new expectations for student success.  This is my 15th year in education, and I think it will be one of the most challenging and exciting years.  We are creating, inventing, modifying, and experiencing new ways to make education better for all students; and that’s what I am passionate about.

After earning my BA from Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA, I began teaching math at the middle school level.  I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, but stepping into my first classroom solidified it for me. I was hooked!  My passion for learning, combined with the excitement of helping others reach their full potential, mixed with my love for math, let me know I had chosen the right career.  After 4 years at the middle school, and earning my Masters in Educational Administration from Cal State Northridge, I decided to return to Northern California and started at Patterson High School.  That is when I fell in love with this small town, a great school and this district. After teaching math for 3 years, I moved into my first administrative role, as Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction.  Then in the fall of 2016, I became the Principal at Creekside Middle School. Although I still miss the classroom, I am truly honored to be able to lead such an amazing group of educators and work with the finest students at CMS.

2016 was a special year for me as we welcomed our first born into our family, our son SJ!  And just two short years later, we welcomed our beautiful daughter into our family!  I love spending time with family...any family…all family, even my Panther family! We love being outdoors, especially anything to do with water (lakes, beaches, rivers, etc). And we love to travel; so we have had to try new adventures during this pandemic.

I know that this year will be full of adventures that we can work through together.  I look forward to seeing Panther spirit virtually!  I really look forward to meeting all of you throughout the year! Please reach out if you have any questions. And remember, it’s a great day to be a PANTHER!

Hello CMS Families!

Welcome to the 2021-2022 School Year! I look forward to welcoming our students and supporting their educational journeys as the school year begins. I am proud to be a part of the Creekside community where staff, students, and families collaborate to build a culture of excellence, equity, and responsibility for all.

I started my journey in education at San Francisco State University. After graduating in 2009, my husband and I moved our three children to Patterson. I quickly became involved as a parent and soon landed a position with the after school program at Apricot Valley Elementary. It was then I decided to take the plunge and enroll at CSU Stanislaus to work towards my teaching credential.

While in the program I worked as a substitute teacher here in our district. Once I obtained my teaching credential I was offered a position with Turlock Unified School District. I was only there for a year and I realized that PJUSD had my heart and I quickly returned to Creekside to teach sixth grade. I haven't looked back since!

After earning my Master's in Education and Administrative credential through CSU Stanislaus, I was hired as the Assistant Principal of Student Services. I am happy to be able to support our Panther Family through my new role. All three of my children attended Apricot Valley, Creekside, and Patterson High School. I am a proud member of our local community and so happy to continue working with the students of our town.

Have a wonderful year Panthers!!

Assistant Principal

Hello Panthers!

It is a pleasure to begin my fifth year at Creekside Middle School!  I am your Assistant Principal and I oversee the area of Student Services.  This year is looking to be a different year than others I have encountered, but I am excited for the challenge.

I have six children, three boys and three girls.  The eldest daughter lives in Texas with her husband. The  youngest is in first grade. I moved to California from Idaho when I was in junior high. I have lived in Stanislaus county for over 30 years. I owned a manufacturing company for 12 years before I began a career in education. I taught English for 10 years before becoming an assistant principal. It has proven to be a rewarding decision.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts, majoring in both English and Spanish from California State University Stanislaus.  I continued my studies at California State University Stanislaus where I earned my Master of Arts in School Administration.

I am looking forward to this new year and I am very excited to assist you in your educational endeavors. I hope to be a resource for you as you continue your education here at Creekside. I know that as we work together we will be able to get through the challenges that we will face. Let’s do it together!!

Respectfully,

Mr. Stephen Mauchley

Hi Panthers,

I am excited to start my 14th year here at Creekside Middle School and my 21st year as a counselor in the Patterson Unified School District (I spent my first 7 years as a counselor at the high school). This year will probably be the most unique and challenging in my career but I am ready to take those challenges head on. I know that together we can overcome anything that the year 2020 or 2021 throw at us.

I grew up in Mariposa on 10 acres out in the country. We didn’t have running water or electricity for most of my elementary school years so you can imagine it was a very different type of upbringing than most of the other staff members. Even though it probably sounds like it was no fun to not have electricity and water, I actually had a great childhood! I learned to really appreciate things that most of my friends took for granted. In middle school I moved to Hawaii for 3 years before moving back to Mariposa to graduate with all my friends.

I attended a few junior colleges before settling in at Modesto Junior College (for one year I actually took classes to become an airline pilot). After graduating with an Associates Degree I transferred to CSU Stanislaus in Turlock. I majored in Psychology and earned my Bachelors before enrolling in the School Counseling program at CSUS where I earned my Masters degree.

I can’t wait to meet all of you that are joining us for the 1st time this year and to reconnect with all of you Panthers that moved on to the next grade level. I am the counselor for all of you that have last names starting with M - Z. Of course, in the beginning we will be meeting via Webex but I can’t wait to see you all in person. Have a wonderful school year and…

Goooo Panthers...Rooooaar!
