Become a Student-Athlete at CMS

Step 1

All 8th grade student athletes must Check your GPA. It must be a 2.0 from the most recent grading period at time of tryouts.

All incoming 7th graders will not need to have a GPA check if they are trying out for girls volleyball or coed soccer. However same requirements apply for 7th graders once 1st grading period passes. They will too need to have a 2.0 GPA.

Step 2

There will always be a informational meeting before every sports tryout. In this meeting you will be given the google class code for the sport you are trying out for.

In that google class you will need to complete the CMS athletic packet. This packet will need to  be completed BEFORE first day of tryouts for your sport.

Step 3

Review any important information regarding your sport and any upcoming tryouts, practices, or contact your Coach using the provided contact information. This information can be found on your sport's website or Google Classroom (provided by the Coach).  CMS Sports Packet 2025
